Florida State University (FSU) is getting ready for the return of one of the most anticipated annual traditions — Golden Week.

From March 3rd to March 6th, Student Government Association (SGA) at FSU will host a series of events aimed at bringing the FSU community together for four days of fun, connection, and tradition. Golden Week has long been a staple on campus, and this year, several exciting events are lined up to engage students, faculty, and staff.

The events will take place throughout the week, beginning with the Golden Week Kickoff on Landis Green.

From 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, students can expect a festive atmosphere filled with music, food, and opportunities to socialize with other students and faculty. Golden Week is a time to unwind, build connections, and celebrate the community spirit that makes FSU so unique.

On Tuesday, students can enjoy “Snacks and Chats” with SGA members and Dr. Hecht at the Student Union. This event provides an opportunity for students to engage in casual conversations with leaders on campus and discuss issues that matter to them while enjoying free snacks.

It’s a great chance for students to ask questions, voice concerns, and build a stronger connection with their peers and university leadership.

Wednesday brings two exciting events: Golden Market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and STEM Under the Stars featuring Interstellar at 6 p.m. at the ASLC. The Golden Market allows students to explore local vendors and find unique items.

Meanwhile, STEM Under the Stars offers a fun, educational opportunity to watch a thought-provoking movie under the night sky. The film will begin at 7:30 p.m., creating the perfect way to relax and learn something new with friends.

Finally, Thursday night wraps up Golden Week with Band Night at Bowden’s from 6 to 10 p.m. This event will feature live music and a chance to dance the night away with fellow Seminoles.

Golden Week at FSU represents the importance of tradition, community, and leadership. By engaging students through these events, SGA helps create an environment where students feel connected to their university and one another. As this year's Golden Week approaches, it is clear that the spirit of collaboration, fun, and unity will continue to thrive at Florida State University.
